What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flight Education Operations Coordinator position at The Ohio State University?
Working directly with and reporting to the Director of Flight Education, the Flight Education Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of flight school operations, including facilities, equipment (fleet), and processes. Collaborates with the Associate Program manager to maintain and grow the department to achieve strategic goals aimed at impacting our student mission, the Flight Education Manager is responsible for developing and executing the strategies for advancing the vision and initiatives set by the Director of Flight Education; Supports the Director by managing day-to-day business operations.; Oversees the daily activities related to the flight training fleet, maintains student flight accounts, Ensures aircraft availability, maintenance, and compliance with safety regulations; Coordinates scheduling and utilization of aircraft; Manages facilities, classrooms, and training areas; Collaborates with maintenance staff for facility upkeep ; Develops and implements efficient operational processes; Streamlines administrative tasks, such billing, and recordkeeping; Assist program manager with student enrollments; Monitors performance metrics and adjusts processes as needed; Administers policies related to flight school operations; Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols; Communicates policies to staff and students; Provides guidance to instructors, administrative staff, and other team members; Resolves routine operational issues; Collaborates with peers and subordinates to share information and address challenges

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is
required.

Knowledge of University academic rules, regulations, fiscal, financial, and budget; Ability to effectively serve as a leader with strong team supervisory skills, strategic thinking, strong writing, multitasking, attention to detail.
Experience:Required:
2 years of relevant experience and a strong understanding of aviation regulations and safety procedures. Strong communications and engagement skills; Previous experience in flight school operations or aviation management.
The target hiring range for this job profile is $55,100 – $72,400. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
