What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housing Coordinator position at The Ohio State University?
Under the general direction of the Director of Residence Life and the supervisor of an Assistant Director, this position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the University owned residence Hall Complex Apartments and Houses (including Pennsylvania Place, Worthington, Neil, Scholars East, Scholars West, German House, Pomerene House, Fechko House, and Hanley House). Supervises undergraduate, and graduate student staff; collaborates with full time facilities staff; reviews, implements and updates administrative practices; responds to inquiries from students, parents, faculty and university departments; advises and consults with residents; advises hall council; initiates community & student development activities; assists in the complex office and security operations; assists in budget preparation, tracking and audit; provides orientation presentations and tours; partners with Athletics (coaches, Leadership in Athletics, etc.), and TOPS (Transition Options in Postsecondary Settings) to provide support to specialized populations; supervises housing business functions including summer contracts and room assignments as needed. Some evening and weekend duties; serves in an on-call crisis rotation.

Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel Administration, Public Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience; 2 years post-Master’s or significant university housing experience and strong administrative and communication skills; supervision experience; crisis management experience; demonstrated experience working with diverse cultures.
Pay Range: $43,900-$57,750. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the unit’s available budget, and the selected candidate’s qualifications.
