Job Description
Reporting to the Guest Service Manager and Associate General Manager for The Blackwell Inn, the Night Auditor position is a critical part of the operation of the hotel, responsible for initiating and completing the end of day process, the audit and reconciliation of all revenue postings for the overall operation. This position reviews and submits daily financial data, ensures prompt and accurate reporting of information to Blackwell management; reconciles and posts transactions into the property management system (OPERA); processes guest arrivals and departures and prepares guest bills for next day check outs; conducts security walks throughout the hotel and is the security point of contact for hotel guests; performs various administrative and accounting tasks including but not limited to: balancing revenue and expense transactions, processing, formatting and distributing daily reports for multiple departments.
As with all guest services positions, the auditor position contributes to the hotel's commitment to high quality guest service, providing prompt, courteous and professional delivery of services; knowledge of safety and security procedures; accounting skills; attention to detail and organizational skills; always maintains professional appearance; provides positive, proactive solutions to guest concerns while demonstrating empathy; and is a team player, willing to “pitch-in” and help other departments with job tasks (i.e. housekeeping, security, maintenance, food and beverage team).
This is a third shift position from 11pm until 7am, weekend and holiday hours will be required.
