The 4-H Student Assistant with Ohio State University Extension, Medina County will be responsible for assisting the 4-H Extension Educator with activities related to the Medina County 4-H Program, with particular focus on the Medina County Jr. Fair exhibition. The employee will work with volunteers, youth, and parents to prepare for the Medina County Jr. Fair exhibition and the judging of 4-H projects. The employee will develop booth displays for the Medina County Fair. The employee will primarily work out of the Medina County Extension Office but will have some tasks and responsibilities which are completed off-site at the Medina County Fairgrounds, in particular during the week of the Medina County Fair and the days before and immediately after. Student Assistants are expected to serve as a positive representation of OSU Extension to the community and abide by the rules & policies of OSU Extension, Medina County, including but not limited to dress code, professionalism, work hours, etc.
Hours are flexible. This position can work up to 28 hours if taking classes and up to 38 hours during the summer and/or academic breaks.
