Food Runner/Busser/Expo

Position Overview: As a Food Runner/Busser/Expediter, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of service. You will work closely with kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure that food is delivered promptly and accurately to our guests. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized dining area, assisting with clearing and resetting tables, and supporting the overall operations of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Food Running:
• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the correct tables quickly and accurately.
• Ensure each plate is presented beautifully and is complete with all sides and condiments.
• Communicate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow.
• Busser Responsibilities:
• Assist in clearing tables and removing dishes, silverware, and glassware after guests have finished.
• Reset tables efficiently and prepare for new guests.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the dining room, including the floors and restrooms.
• Expediting:
• Work as the liaison between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food orders.
• Double-check orders for accuracy before they are sent out to guests.
• Maintain organization in the expo station, ensuring tickets are organized and up-to-date.
• Customer Service:
• Respond promptly to any guest requests or concerns, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Assist servers by refilling water glasses and delivering additional items like bread, condiments, and drinks.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work together with kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to ensure smooth service during busy shifts.
• Help maintain a positive and productive working environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a restaurant or fast-paced service environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to multitask and remain focused during busy service times.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to [weight] lbs.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to carry multiple trays or dishes at once.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Pay: $15.00 - $35.00 per hour
