Duties
As a Deli Associate, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and slicing deli meats and cheeses to customer specifications.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including equipment and work surfaces.
- Assisting customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering questions about products.
- Operating Scale System
- Ensuring compliance with food safety standards and regulations at all times.
- Collaborating with team members to maintain efficient service during peak hours.
- Performing bagging of bulk food items when the deli is slow.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a grocery store is preferred.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and measurements accurately.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 30 per week
