Housekeeper/Janitorial

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, including both routine cleaning tasks and specialized maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine custodial tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies and free of debris.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing as needed.
• Carry out commercial and industrial cleaning tasks to maintain high standards of hygiene in various settings.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
• Ensure that all cleaning equipment is maintained in good working condition and used safely.
• Act as a porter by transporting materials or supplies as needed throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with cleaning techniques and equipment used in commercial and industrial settings is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good physical stamina; must be able to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.

Pay: From $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 35 per week

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
