Staff Programs Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
Holistic Education Programs creates and supports the many educational programs for community, as well as maintains an overall commitment to maintaining an atmosphere of community on campus through the Art Hut, Community Talent Shows, Dances, etc. Holistic Education Programs is also responsible for overseeing the Hermitage Program and the Core Faculty Optional classes for the participants and staff.
Essential Functions
- Update and oversee Community Website.
- Update community board and faculty bios on a regular basis.
- Create Seasonal Community Program fliers and other documents that need design skills.
- Schedule classes in the community program and R&R program
- Be in communication with all Core Faculty, Hermitage Residents and Community Programs Faculty for arrival and departure information
- Meet and greet faculty on arrival, orient them to the campus, give assistance while they are here, and assist their departures
- Stay in contact with Production with regards to Core Faculty “Optionals” to make sure classrooms are correctly scheduled and ready for Optional classes.
- Assist with community orientations at the beginning of each work period and during early arrivals pre-season
- Attend weekly department meetings as directed by manager.
- Assist the Programs Manager as needed to insure the smooth running of staff programs.

- Ability to observe details at close range.

- Some computer skills.

- Valid driver’s license.

Work Hours
Part-time, 21-28 hours a week depending on operational need. The day to day schedule varies. Most transition days (Fridays and Sundays) you will have a full day of work assigned to you. You may be assigned to a split shift.
Compensation
Non-residential seasonal staff work full-time or part-time between early-May and the late-October. They receive a compensation package that includes:
- Hourly wage (this varies by position and is at minimum above New York State minimum wage).
- One delicious meal during each work shift

- This compensation package is at minimum equivalent to the New York State minimum wage.
