Position Title: School Liaison

As the School Liaison, you would be responsible for providing services to enable individuals and families to obtain access to needed medical, social, educational and other support services as well as psychosocial skill development. The school liaison function can be generally described as assessing, advocating, linking & coordinating needed community-based services for the client(s) and families served in rural school systems. The School Liaison will be heavily involved with and supportive of a clients educational, legal, vocational, extra-curricular and health related goals, with regular promotion of the accomplishment of these goals.
The School Liaison generally meets with the client(s) and the clients school personnel (principals, teachers, guidance counselors, aids etc.) in the clients school, on a regularly scheduled basis with phone call triage assessments during the off months and weeks of face-to-face care. In addition, the School Liaison may meet with the members of the clients extended family and community supports at locations such as home, court, job site, etc., as specified to meet the clients service and advocacy needs. The School Liaisons hours of work will vary depending on the individual needs of his/her caseload but are generally able to be scheduled in a manner that does not exceed 40 hours in a given week. On-call and after-hours communication and contact may be required to assist with client crisis situations and goal related activities.

- Bachelors degree in a behavioral health related field such as counseling, social work, developmental psychology or psychology required, Masters preferred.
