About the Role
- Provide comprehensive care to oncology patients in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
- Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct patient assessments, including physical exams, medical histories, and diagnostic tests.
- Manage symptoms and side effects of cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
- Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, and ongoing care.
- Participate in clinical rounds and contribute to care planning.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Requirements
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in California.
- Board certification as an NP (ANCC, AANP, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of oncology experience preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
