What are the responsibilities and job description for the Case Management Supervisor position at The Open Door Network?
Fundamental Objective: Under the supervision of the Director of Client Services, the Case Management Supervisor serves as a critical member of The Open Door Network’s leadership team. This position requires knowledge of sensitivity to targeted populations such as victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and child abuse. The Case Management Supervisor is expected develop and maintain the referral process and walk-in inflow, ensure the wraparound care is effective to all adult and child victims, and collaborate effectively with other victim service providers in Kern County.
Minimal Qualifications:
- Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in human services, or related field; and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in working in crisis settings with vulnerable populations
- Ability to quickly and effectively problem solve emergency situations with the case management team.
- Experience in leadership and mentorship roles that allow for effective team building, and successful program outcomes.
- Must be willing to be available 24-hours, if needed.
- Must be 2 years free of domestic violence.
- Must possess a valid drivers license and be able to drive an agency owned vehicle.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining a minimal caseload if needed.
- Conduct team meetings to address any issues or concerns, and delegate duties and set expectations on a weekly basis.
- Evaluate the work of the victim service outreach advocates and on-call advocates, to ensure the case managers are of appropriate quality and that resources are used effectively.
- Provide direct service and support to staff, such as handling a client grievance, conducting a needs evaluation, or resolving complaints at a supervisor level.
- Ensuring case management process and procedures are effective and maintained.
- Develop a culture of learning and improvement by ensuring the case management team attends all necessary meetings and trainings required.
- Recruit, interview, and hire for vacant positions within the case management department.
- Establish and maintain relationships with other agencies and organizations in the community to meet the needs of victims and survivors of abuse.
- Ensure department milestones, and goals are met in a timely manner.
- Participate in meetings conducted by The Kern County Family Justice Center involving any upcoming changes, and wraparound care for active clients.
- Provide monthly updates to the Client Services Manager regarding program needs, successes, challenges, and barriers.
- Participate in the development and determination of organizational policies regarding such issues as participant eligibility, program requirements, and program benefits.
- Provide presentations regarding TODN victim services when requested by the community.
- Work with the data department to ensure proper data of program services is captured effectively.
- Responsible for reviewing, auditing, and providing correction to all client’s electronic files.
- Other duties as assigned.
