CRISIS INTERVENTION SPECIALIST
The Open Door of Indiana, Pennsylvania is a behavioral health organization that provides outpatient substance use and gambling education and treatment, mental health crisis intervention, impaired driving programming, and other services to promote steps toward hope, courage, and recovery for the members of our community.
Currently, The Open Door is seeking part-time and full-time Crisis Intervention Specialists to provide direct Crisis Intervention telephone and walk-in services in our office, as well as mobile crisis services throughout Armstrong County to individuals in immediate need of Crisis Intervention assistance.
Duties Include:
· Management of telephone, walk-in, and mobile crisis situations
· Management of business calls and contacts
· Conduct a formal assessment, completing necessary documents, clinical intervention, support to individuals in crisis, and attempt to divert out of home placement when possible.
· Providing up to two face-to-face or telephone follow-ups follow the initial contact
· Provide accurate information and referrals to contacts
· Attendance at required trainings and meetings
· Accurate and timely completion of all required paperwork to include but not limited to crisis assessment forms, expense reports, time sheets, and activity logs.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Must have bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Criminology, Nursing or another Health and Human Services related field
·Total of 2 years direct service experience
· At least 1 year experience in Mental Health, related field preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
