Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Barback to join our team. As a Barback, you will play a crucial role in supporting the bartenders by ensuring that the bar is well-stocked, clean, and organized. Your responsibilities will include assisting with garnish preparation, cleaning games, and maintaining a high level of customer service. This position is ideal for individuals looking to grow their skills in the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist bartenders in greeting customers and serving customers promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Prepare, stock and replenish supplies such as liquor, beer, garnishes, and ice as needed.
- Educate and assist guests with purchasing and using game cards.
- Support banquet or catering events by setting up, serving food and breaking down stations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food and drink handling.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests efficiently.
- Weekly and daily cleaning/dusting games of tables, arcade games and bar equipment.
- Occasional Security shifts Friday and Saturday to check Ids.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, bar, or catering environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Complete I-PACT ID checking certification upon hire.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to help others in a busy environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
