Optical Lab Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Optical Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in optical principles and laboratory techniques, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. As an Optical Technician, you will play a crucial role in the production of optical devices, ensuring precision and adherence to industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including CNC machines and lathes, to fabricate optical components.
• Conduct routine quality checks on products to ensure compliance with ISO 13485 standards.
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to understand specific optical needs and requirements.
• Utilize laboratory techniques to prepare and process optical materials efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of laboratory procedures and results for quality assurance purposes.
• Assist in the management of laboratory operations, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
• Stay updated on advancements in optical technology and incorporate new techniques into daily practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an optical or laboratory setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy related to ophthalmology is a plus.
• Familiarity with laboratory management practices and procedures.
• Proficiency in CNC operation and lathe work is advantageous.
• Understanding of ISO 13485 standards and their application in the laboratory environment.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
