What You'll Do :
The Director, Vendor Management will play a crucial role for OCC in building and managing a new function for vendor governance. This includes defining processes and procedures for vendor management in the first line of defense, hiring and training a team and implementing tools to support the function. You will manage the relationship and contract activities between OCC and our strategic vendors and ensure that vendor relationship managers across the organization are well-equipped with guidelines, tools and training to perform their responsibilities. A senior leader within the Strategic Sourcing group, you will join a growing team focused on improving business outcomes for OCC.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.
- Establish and develop internal and external policies, standards and processes for vendor oversight and engagement.
- Sponsor and initiate continuous process improvement projects to improve delivery to exceed internal stakeholder expectations and requirements.
- Promote / communicate the importance of vendor management to the organization's stakeholders and executives.
- Present all pertinent vendor and / or industry trends to stakeholders and propose updates and improvements to existing strategies.
- Manage a comprehensive list of best-in-class vendors for bid processes developed by analyzing performance trends and competitive positioning to ensure engagement and leverage of the most effective professional services supply base.
- Implement and manage best-in-class contract-management and vendor-management tools and practices
- Implement appropriate vendor risk mitigation activities as advised by Third Party Risk Management.
- Manage the collection, consolidation and communication of reporting and data on vendor contracts, performance, and relationships to key stakeholders.
- Monitor and support key strategic IT vendor relationships, including issue and conflict resolution.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of a repository to track key engagement deliverables, obligations and milestones.
- Serve as a point of escalation for vendor issues and disputes and drive those issues to resolution.
- Manage delivery of performance feedback to vendor organizations and oversee action plans and corrective measures which may arise from the performance management process.
- Provide oversight to vendor reviews where required; arrange and direct departmental activities and true-up / reconciliation schedules, often in cooperation with asset management teams where they exist.

Technical Skills :
Proficiency in MS Office, Sharepoint, Vendor Governance tools such as Sirion, ERP tools such as Oracle Fusion, Contract Lifecycle Management tools such as Ariba or Coupa
Education and / or Experience :
Bachelor's degree in business management, supply chain, information technology or a related field, OR an equivalent combination of experience, skills, training and education.
Master's degree or master's of business administration (MBA), or a juris doctor (JD), is desired.
Minimum 10 years' experience in the following :
Managing strategic vendor relationships and developing strategies that look to reduce overall cost or risk.
IT vendor management and / or sourcing and procurement.
Evaluating support agreements and the yearly true-up and demand management requirements.
Minimum 7 years experience in the following :
Information Technology.
Financial Services or other highly regulated industry.
Leadership with a proven track record in coaching, mentoring and performance development.
Certificates or Licenses :
Any of the following are a plus :
Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Certified Third-Party Risk Professional (CTPRP), Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) qualification, or Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS).

Compensation
Salary Range
149,500.00 - $215,600.00
Incentive Range
18% to 25%
This position is eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award, for which the target range is listed above (see Incentive Range ). The amount of such award, if any, will be based on various factors, including without limitation, both individual and company performance.
