The function of this Pastor is to provide a balanced program of ministry to all adults through programming, facilitating, and training LifeGroups, One-on-one Discipleship program, Prayer Groups, and Men’s and Women’s Ministry.
Description
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in adult discipleship by developing and administering LifeGroups (Campus and Community) through The Orchard Church by managing and supporting programs, recruiting and training teachers, and leadership.
- To serve as the ministry team leader for children, student, and adult ministries through building, motivating, and leading in accordance with The Orchard Church’s core values, mission, and vision.
- To provide leadership to the one-on-one discipleship program through identifying and recruiting disciple makers and disciples and providing support to both parties in accordance with Our Vision Pursuit.
- To provide resources, direction, and facilitation for new believers through discipleship pairings and classes.
- To serve as the ministerial director for prayer ministry through recruitment and organization of prayer services and prayer groups under the leadership and direction of the Lead Pastor.
- To manage, develop, and maintain annual operational budgets for appropriate centers.
- To collaborate and assist in the vision and development on sermon preparation team when asked.
- To develop lay-leaders to help manage in all responsibilities in alignment with Ephesians 4:11-12, equipping the saints.
Other Duties & Responsibilities
- Recruit church members and guests to attend adult ministry programs including LifeGroups.
- Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer and meditation.
- Maintain proper priorities in your home and be a spiritual leader to your spouse and children, if applicable.
- Be actively involved in the making of disciples.
- Plan specific ministry activities and programs designed to reach that region in support of the church’s objectives. On an on-going basis, assess the effectiveness of ministry activities and programs and make changes as needed.
- Maintain wise stewardship of all God’s resources that He has given you.
- Other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor.
Qualifications
- Preferred Licensed or Ordained Minister.
- Evidence of moral character and a lifestyle that is consistent with that of The Orchard Church’s Constitution, Bylaws and Statement of Faith.
- Minimum of (5) years’ experience in a church ministerial environment. Preferred experience would include a ministerial degree and a substantiated resume’ of Leadership Positions that have been held successfully.

- Pursues knowledge of the current cultural/social environment of church membership/community.
- Maintains a healthy attitude and support for our Lead Pastor and team.
- A person who has a strong prayer life.
- Understanding of current events and social media.

- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff, community by preaching when called upon.

Working Conditions
- Travel to various locations and facilities is required.
- Inside and outside in a variety of venues.
Physical Demands
- This is a role that is not an hourly employee. Therefore, this person would be willing to be called on to do ministry after hours if called on to do so.
- Walking, standing, sitting and occasional waiting.
- Light lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to drive or airline travel, international and nationally.
Environmental Conditions
- Some work will be performed in an office environment likeness with proper heating, cooling, and lighting.
- Exposure to health care facilities, schools, and most other venues where people gather.
