What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN 11p-7a (Every Other Weekend) position at The Orchard?
Minimum Requirements
Current license as an LPN
Current TB skin test prior to hire date, then annually
Cleared background check within 2 years
Current CPR certification
Duties
Work under the direction of the Director of Nurses
Maintain knowledge of each resident
Participate in Resident care plan meetings
Accept & verify resident medications delivered from pharmacy
Verify receipt of physician orders for medications and other treatments
Administer medications per physician's order
Clarify physician orders as needed by calling the physician or his/her designee
Ensure all medication documentation is current and correct
Ensure medication room is completely stocked with all required continuous, PRN, over-the-counter, and other medications as ordered by the physician
Ensure medication room is secured at all times
Follow facility policies regarding disposal of medications
Communicate, as needed, with resident family members and other legal representatives in a courteous, professional manner
Supervise and give direction to aides
