Are you passionate about promoting health and wellness for older adults? Join our team as a Wellness Coordinator at Southminster (Independent Living) and The Leas (Assisted Living), where you’ll lead fitness programs, engage residents in physical activities (as well as 1:1 sessions), and ensure a safe, clean environment for all. This role is ideal for someone who is driven and motivated to support residents in leading an active and healthy lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and lead individual and group exercise programs
- Maintain resident fitness files and assessments
- Oversee fitness area operations and equipment maintenance
- Plan and coordinate physical activity events and health education programs
- Collaborate with therapy and health staff to support residents' wellness goals
- Coordinate outdoor activity spaces (bocce, shuffleboard, putting, etc.)
- Plan and execute special wellness events like Active Aging Week and Heart Month
- Manage budget and order necessary supplies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or related field, or
- ACSM or NCCA-accredited certifications (e.g., ACE, NCSF), or
- Experience in senior fitness and wellness is preferred
- Passion for working with older adults and promoting healthy lifestyles
