We are seeking a full-time Patient Services Specialist to join our Pulmonary clinic located near Providence St. Vincent Hospital in SW Portland. You will work with exceptional physicians who value their team and working together to help our patients get the best possible care.
Our busy practice receives a high volume of patient calls, and we are searching for a candidate that is a self-starter, with a positive attitude, who can work independently, and has a customer-focused work ethic. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a medical front office setting, preferably with proficiency in handling multi-line phone systems. They should be knowledgeable about insurance and referral processes, team-oriented, and capable of multitasking effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Primary duties include scheduling appointments for new and established patients, obtaining and completing insurance information, answering phones, updating records as needed, and other duties as assigned. The position will primarily be phone-based and is high volume and requires excellent customer service and communication skills. Remote/Hybrid work available when training is completed, and expectations are met.
Workdays will be Monday-Friday (8:00am- 4:30pm).
Hiring pay based on open position, experience, and credentials:
- Level I - $19.18- $25.96 per hour.
- Level II - $21.10 - $28.55 per hour.
- Level III - $23.21 - $31.41 per hour.
Placement within levels based on specialty group, experience, additional duties.
Medical, Vision, and Rx Insurance is 100% paid for by The Oregon Clinic for full-time employees.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of medical front office experience is required; 3 years is preferred.
- Prior Epic Experience is required.
- Excellent phone skills and customer service skills.
- Excellent attendance and work ethic.
- Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, staff, and providers.
- Strong commitment to patient care and privacy guidelines.
