We are seeking a full-time Credentialed Medical Assistant to join our Portland Dermatology clinic located in NW Portland (Pearl District). You will work with exceptional physicians who value their team and work together to help our patients get the best possible care.
Our busy practice receives a high volume of patient appointments and calls, and we are searching for an experienced candidate with a friendly demeanor, great positive attitude, and customer-focused work ethic.
Primary duties include both front- and back-office duties, such as scheduling appointments, checking in patients, phone triage, rooming patients, obtaining vitals and injections, assisting physicians, and any other duties as assigned. Other responsibilities include assisting with biopsies and select surgical procedures, patient education on treatment plans and medication. New GRADS and EMTs are welcome to apply!
Starting pay range, based on experience:
Credentialed Medical Assistant (CMA):
- Level I - $24.18- $32.72 per hour.
- Level II - $26.60 - $35.99 per hour.
- Level III - $29.26 - $39.59 per hour.
Medical, Vision and Rx Insurance is 100% paid for by The Oregon Clinic for full-time employees.
Qualifications:
- Medical Assistants must be certified within 90 days. New GRADS and EMTs are welcome to apply!
- At least one year of previous experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
- Certification from a national certifying entity (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, etc).
- Previous Dermatology specialty experience is preferred.
- Current healthcare provider CPR certification is required.
- Prior EMR and scheduling experience are strongly preferred; EPIC experience is a plus!
- Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Ability to communicate clearly to patients, staff, and physicians.
- Strong commitment to patient care and privacy guidelines.
