The Payroll Manager is responsible for managing all activity related to the day-to-day administration of the payroll and timekeeping systems, which includes training and reviewing work performed by support personnel.

Hiring pay based on open position, experience, and credentials: $78,810.40-$118,215.60

We are seeking an experienced full-time Payroll Manager for our Central Administration Office in NE Portland (Hybrid/Remote). The Payroll Manager is responsible for managing all activity related to the day-to-day administration of the payroll and timekeeping systems, which includes training and reviewing work performed by support personnel.
Essential Payroll Function Responsibilities Will Include
- Provides excellent customer service to all external and internal customers includes effective, friendly, professional and timely communication while anticipating and prioritizing customer's needs
- Manages all aspects of payroll processing, including garnishments, updates in HRIS system, and preparation of annual W-2 forms.
- Manages department staff: Evaluates productivity, accuracy, and performance on an ongoing basis, provides constructive feedback and coaching and/or provides additional training and development as needed. Recruits new staff as needed. Manages staffing levels and work schedules.
- Designs and produces relevant payroll reports using HRIS and timekeeping systems.
- Submits payroll tax files to vendors, reconciles quarterly and annual tax reports, and distributes required information to various local, state, and federal agencies.
- Manages timekeeping system, troubleshoots problems and concerns and acts as liaison between vendor and/or IT department. Provides training on timekeeping system to employees and supervisors.
- Provides research and guidance on new laws or policies surrounding payroll.
- Teamwork: Shows respect, collaboration and support for coworkers/supervisor/providers. Communicates effectively and professionally, accepts accountability. Remains flexible to changes and promotes a successful work environment
- Safety & Policy Compliance: Adheres to TOC safety and health best practices. Consistently follows relevant laws & TOC policies, including Code of Conduct, Use of Personal Cell Phones, Attendance, IT Systems and Timekeeping policies. Maintains confidentiality, protects sensitive information, and adheres to HIPAA, security and privacy rules.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience with full-spectrum payroll administration is required.
- Experience with HRIS (UKG Pro) and Payroll Management is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of payroll and accounts payable practices and procedures.
- Ability to complete work timely and accurately, work ethically and with integrity and multitask.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of all information related to patients and medical staff and comply with all applicable safety/OSHA procedures and requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service.
