The Donor Engagement Manager plays a strategic role in conceptualizing and i mplementing events and experiences designed to educate, inspire, support, and activate OCF prospects donors, fundholders, and clients to engage in strategic and impactful philanthropy and to grow their philanthropic impact with OCF . By creating unique, mission-driven, high-impact experiences, this role deepens philanthropic partnerships and strengthens the foundation’s position as a premier philanthropic leader. This role collaborates with Philanthropic Services leadership and teams across the foundation to plan and deliver impactful events and experiences.
Manage Donor Engagement and Learning Experiences Percentage of Time: 70%
Education and Experience:
This position will have the opportunity to work remotely up to two days per week when doing so aligns with the responsibilities of the position. During the initial training period, this position may work more frequently in the office.

About You
- Knowledgeable: You are knowledgeable about major and principal gifts fund-raising and have direct experience in research and prospect management tools to help identify prospects and advance donor conversations. You have demonstrated knowledge of institutional advancement best practices. You’re highly proficient with advancement research resources and techniques, MS Office, integrated databases, and project management tools.

Manage Donor Engagement and Learning Experiences Percentage of Time: 70%
- Implement a multi-year and multi-audience donor engagement and learning strategy to advance philanthropic impact with donors.
- Design, manage, and implement well-organized, innovative, meaningful programming on a year-round basis for the Foundation’s donors and key prospects at various stages in their learning and philanthropic journeys. Programming may include events, educational forums, impact storytelling sessions and exclusive gatherings for donors and prospects.
- Partner with branches of the Philanthropic Services Department to integrate donor engagement efforts into broader stewardship strategies.
- Work in coordination with MarCom to ensure all events, engagements and learning experiences meet brand standards, are aligned with organizational activities, and have necessary logistical support.
- In coordination with colleagues, develop peer learning strategies for donors around common issue areas, in alignment with OCF priorities.
- Coordinate with OCF subject matter experts to highlight OCF’s mission-driven initiatives in compelling ways that invite donors to join OCF’s efforts.
- Analysis and Pipeline Support Percentage of Time: 25%
- Develop metrics for donor engagement and learning to measure the impact of deepened donor relationships.
- Utilize donor data and insights to tailor experiences that align with individual donor interests and capacity.
- Measure and analyze the effectiveness of donor engagement strategies to optimize return on investment.
- Collaborate with the Annual Giving Manger, Business Analyst and Principal Gifts Manager to support moving donors along the giving pipeline, from initial gifts to major and planned giving.
- Oversee other projects and duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Five years experience in donor relations, event planning, fundraising, or a related role
- Relevant bachelor’s-level education credentials, such as a degree in Business or another related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education in lieu of a degree.
- Required valid driver’s license
- Local and statewide travel will be required in this role
- Comfortable office environment.
- Physical effort includes prolonged use of keyboard/monitor and occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs. May require prolonged sitting or standing.
- Report all injuries, illnesses, or accidents to your supervisor as soon as possible and within 24 hours.
