Host/Hostess

Job Summary:

We are looking for an energetic individual who has an outgoing personality to join our host team for the Original Pancake House in Sandy. The ideal candidate is cheerful and welcoming while being able to multi-task and stay organized. The host is responsible for managing the wait list and seating, answering the phone and taking care of to-go orders and keeping the lobby area and dining room in order. Host's are paid an hourly wage plus a daily cash tip out. .

Must be available Saturday AND Sunday.

This position requires early morning and early afternoon availability as well as holidays & weekends.

Responsibilities:

- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service
- Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and ambiance in the dining area
- Uphold high standards of customer service to enhance guest satisfaction
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive dining experience for patrons

Skills:

We are looking for candidates with the following skills:
- Excellent communication abilities to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Proficiency in food service procedures and standards
- Strong phone etiquette skills for handling reservations and inquiries
- Prior experience in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality setting is advantageous
- Demonstrated guest relations skills to provide top-notch customer service
- Ability to work well under pressure and assist others as needed
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
