Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to minimize wait times.
- Communicate with the kitchen staff regarding guest needs and special requests.
- Maintain an organized host stand and ensure it is stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist with guest inquiries and provide information about menu items and specials.
- Monitor dining room activity to ensure guest satisfaction and timely service.
- Collaborate with servers and other staff to enhance the overall guest experience.
- Handle any guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Knowledge of food service practices and standards is beneficial.
