Job Title : Clinical Staff Supervisor

Location : Park City, Heber, Cottonwood Heights, Utah

Reports To : Director of Operations

Employment Type : Full-time

Position Summary :

The TOP Clinical Staff supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinical / radiology staff of The Orthopedic Partners. This role combines hands-on staff responsibilities with the management of teams to ensure exceptional patient service, efficient workflow, and alignment with practice-wide goals.

Key Responsibilities :

Clinical Operations :

  • Develop, implement, and monitor workflows and procedures to optimize efficiency and patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians and administrative leadership to identify and resolve operational challenges.
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain quality and safety in all clinical operations.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics, providing actionable insights for improvement.
  • Management and ownership of clinical / radiology projects

Radiology Operations :

  • Supervise and organize radiology technologist training, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Ensure radiology technologists adhere to safety protocols, including radiation safety standards, and maintain imaging equipment.
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality diagnostic imaging services to support patient care and physician needs.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of radiology staff performance, providing feedback and managing improvement plans as needed.
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and training for new radiology technologists.
  • Promote professional development by identifying training opportunities and encouraging certifications specific to radiologic technology.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for radiology-related operational concerns, ensuring seamless integration with clinical departments.
  • Management and Leadership :

  • Supervise and mentor staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, review goals, and address staff concerns.
  • Evaluate clinical staff performance, providing constructive feedback and managing performance improvement plans as needed.
  • Recruitment, onboarding, and training for new clinical staff.
  • Promote staff engagement and professional development by identifying training opportunities and encouraging certifications.
  • Lead by example to reinforce the clinic’s culture, values, and commitment to patient care.
  • Primary point of contact for collaboration amongst various clinical departments
  • Implementing and enforcing company policy
  • Administrative Duties :

  • Maintain and update staff schedules, managing time-off requests and shift changes.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of staff performance evaluations, incident reports, and training logs.
  • Assist with the development and updating of clinic policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the billing department to ensure proper documentation for coding and insurance purposes.
  • Review and approve payroll hours for clinical staff.
  • Manage communications between clinical and administrative teams, ensuring seamless coordination.
  • Other Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and adjust daily staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage for all patient appointments.
  • Address patient issues or complaints related to clinical operations in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support clinical staff with hands-on problem-solving during high-volume or challenging situations.
  • Serve as a resource for clinical staff to troubleshoot equipment, technology, or procedural issues.
  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation of exam rooms and clinical areas for procedures or consultations.
  • Balancing time between various locations to accommodate clinical staff needs.
  • Any additional responsibilities to fit business needs as may be assigned.

  • Fields phone calls for visits
  • Qualifications :

    Education and Experience :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in a medical office setting, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Familiarity with orthopedic or specialty care practices is a plus.
  • Skills and Competencies :

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
