J ob Title : Director of Healthcare Operations - Orthopedic Practice
Location : Salt Lake & Park City (Multi-site)
Reports To : Market President
Job Summary : The Director of Operations for a multi-location Orthopedic practice is responsible for overseeing the daily operations across all practice sites, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery and optimal patient care. This role involves strategic planning, resource management, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple offices. The Director of Operations will work closely with medical staff, administrative teams, and external partners to drive operational excellence and support the growth of the practice across all locations.
Key Responsibilities :
Multi-Site Operational Management :
- Oversee day-to-day operations of all practice locations, including clinic scheduling, patient flow, and administrative functions.
- Develop and implement standardized operational policies and procedures across all offices to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices across multiple locations.
- Manage the practice's overall budget, including expense management for each location.
- Ensure optimal use of technology and systems to streamline operations and enhance patient care across all sites.
Team Leadership Across Locations :
Lead, mentor, and develop the operations managers at each practice location, including administrative, clinical, and support staff.Facilitate staff training and development programs to enhance skills and performance across all offices.Promote a positive, collaborative workplace culture focused on patient-centered care at each location.Strategic Planning for Multi-Location Growth :
Collaborate with the Division President to develop and execute the practice's strategic goals and initiatives for all locations.Identify opportunities for growth and expansion, including new services, additional locations, or partnerships.Conduct market analysis and monitor industry trends to inform strategic decision-making across the entire practice.Patient Experience Across All Locations :
Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and exceptional patient experiences at each practice site.Implement and monitor patient satisfaction programs across all locations, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.Oversee patient communication strategies, including scheduling, follow-ups, and patient education for all locations.Quality Improvement Across Locations :
Lead quality improvement initiatives to ensure that all practice locations meet or exceed clinical and operational benchmarks.Analyze and report performance metrics for each site, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards across all practice locations.Compliance and Risk Management for Multiple Sites :
Oversee compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements across all locations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and others.Ensure all practice sites are prepared for audits, inspections, and certifications.Vendor and Partner Management Across Locations :
Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and service providers for all locations.Collaborate with hospital systems, insurance companies, and other healthcare providers to enhance service delivery and patient care across the practice.Integration Activities :
Manage the integration team activities, including task list and schedule.Run the weekly integration activitiesCoordinate and communicate activities through local operations / practice managers.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, master’s degree preferredMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare operations management, preferably 5-7 years in Orthopedic or specialty practice, with multi-site experience.Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive results in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance, and accreditation standards.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Proficiency in healthcare management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.Key Competencies :
