Financial Analyst

Orvis is seeking a Financial Analyst - Strategic Planning to play an integral part in Orvis’ long-term and near-term financial planning process.  This position will report to the Head of Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis and will work closely with the CFO and VP of Finance.  The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in corporate finance, consulting, investment banking, or a related field.  Key qualifications include strong excel-based financial modeling skills (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow), excellent communication abilities including experience building board-level presentations, and a team player that can partner across all levels of the organization.   This position will have the option to be fully remote or located at our corporate headquarters at the base of the Green Mountains in Sunderland, VT.   Core Responsibilities Develop and maintain Orvis’ long-range plan (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) that supports our Brand and Finance Strategies. Work with key stakeholders to research, assess, and model key strategic initiatives.  Work closely with Corporate FP&A team to align long-range plan to our detailed annual plan Assist in various annual planning responsibilities including budgets, close, balance sheet and cash flow modeling, and forecasts scenarios. Working with President, CFO, & VP Finance, develop quarterly board-level & shareholder presentations Play an important role in supporting special projects and ad hoc analyses   Qualifications 1-2 years of corporate finance, consulting, investment banking, or related experience. Experience building complex excel-based financial models, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow. Experience developing Board-level presentations to communicate complex concepts as simply as possible Team player and exhibits flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments. Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and across all levels of management.  A brand ambassador who believes deeply in Orvis’ vision to inspire the world to love the adventure and wonder in nature
