Osborn Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineer for our Cleveland office. The successful candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience in the planning, design, development, and construction phases of a variety of project types. Civil Engineers report directly to the Manager of Civil Engineering and will work closely with the directors, managers, and engineering staff to ensure that our client’s needs and expectations are exceeded.
Osborn is a fully integrated multi-disciplined design firm that uses a specialized team approach to engineering projects. These teams are comprised of a staff of more than 350 professionals that provide designs for all phases of a wide range of projects. Osborn has specialists in civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and life safety, technology engineering, transportation and commissioning. Position Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review designs and specifications for civil projects.
- Prepare and review construction documents and permit submittals.
- Coordinate with other design disciplines, e.g., architects and engineers.
- Document design changes and communications.
- Manage small to medium projects and engineering tasks.
- Assist with the management of project delivery, invoicing, and financial performance.
- Assist with the development of scope, budget, and schedule for new projects and tasks.
- Maintain excellent client relations.
- Conduct on-site inspections as needed.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or related field, from an EAC/ABET accredited program.
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam passed (plus)
- 5 to 10 years of relevant design or construction experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within 12 months of employment (plus)
- Excellent technical writing, organizational, and communications skills
- AutoCAD, proficient level
- Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, etc., proficient level
- Civil 3D or Infrastructure Suite, proficient level (plus)
- Hydrology/hydraulic software, proficient level (plus)
- GIS software including ESRI, all levels (plus)
