Osborn Engineering is seeking a Regional Business Development Director with 10 Years’ experience for our Columbus region. The ideal candidate would have a strong background of regional leadership in the AEC consulting environment focused business opportunity development and understanding how to lead the firm in key markets and geographies.
Position Responsibilities
- Collaborates with leadership the overall strengths and vulnerabilities of the firm (and its major competitors), develops a Strategic BD/Marketing Plan and integrates it to effectively position and lead the firm in key markets and projects
- Collaborates with leadership team to develop new markets, geography, and/or services
- Functions as a leader of the firm, providing input on operational and business decisions based on client feedback and market vision/strategy
- Mentors/coaches operations staff on business development practices and customer service excellence
- looks at 360-degree view of an opportunity to identify risks and challenges and collaborates with leadership team and other associates to evaluate success; sometimes acts as the challenger or healthy skeptic to ensure the team has evaluated all concerns
- Leads regional business development meetings, tracking and pursuit development
- Actively organizes and leads company proposals, qualifications packages and presentations to clients.
Job Requirements/Qualifications
- 10 Years of experience in the A/E/C Industry with an understanding of market sectors and practice areas involved.
- Bachelor’s degree or Masters.
- Leadership experience with successful business acumen history.
- Excellent Organizational and Communication skills.
- Proactive and Collaborative team motivator.
