Osborn Engineering is seeking a Structural Engineer with 8 years' experience for our office locations who will report to the Manager of Structural Engineering. The ideal candidate would have working knowledge of Revit and Structural design in the Consulting Engineering environment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Coordinating Structural design with MEPFC consultants
- Coordinating Architect, Clients and Contractors.
- Maintain client relationship
- Manage multiple projects at various stages in design
- Write project specifications
- Knowledge of Post tension design is a plus
- Manage/Help production of documents for the project in Revit / AutoCAD
- Perform detailed design and analysis of the project using either RISA, Tedds or Enercalc
- Gravity – Roof, Floors, Walls and Foundations
- Lateral – Main Lateral load resisting elements Components and Cladding
- Perform cost estimation and value engineering when required
- Perform site visit for collecting existing information or site observations
- Respond to permit comments, RFIs and Change orders
- Attend project coordination meetings
- Help with proposal writing and fee estimation
- Perform QAQC on projects done by other engineers
- Review shop drawings and inspection reports
- Help with maintaining project schedule
- Excellent organizations and communication skills
- Proactive and Collaborative team member
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- BS Structural Engineering.
- PE registration a plus.
- 8 years of structural design experience.
- Midrise Multifamily or commercial office buildings design.
- Ability to take a project from concept design to completion
- Proficient with Revit and AutoCAD
- Proficient with MS office – Word and Excel
- Strong Technical knowledge – Concrete, Steel, Wood, Masonry and Cold-form
- Familiar with the building and material Codes – IBC, AISC, ACI, NDS, AISI
- Strong work ethics.
- Industrial, Institutional, Higher Education, K-12 a plus.
- Excellent Organizational and Communication skills.
- Proactive and Collaborative team member.
- Working knowledge of Revit.
