Job Description
The Osthoff Resort is looking for energetic and reliable Food and Beverage support staff to join our team. These positions act as food runners, bussers, and bar backs. They ensure fast and friendly service while upholding the AAA Four Diamond brand expectation. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fun, fast-paced resort setting with a great team!
Duties and Responsibilities
- Promptly greet guests upon arrival
- Ensure food presentation, accuracy, and quality align with standards set
- Promote The Osthoff Resort’s service principle by example—respond to/resolve guest inquiries, complaints or concerns in a courteous, timely and efficient manner. Make sure to inform a team leader of any problems.
- Vacuum/sweep indoor and outdoor restaurant areas
- Take out garbage as needed
- Clear dishes from tables and deliver to dish station
- Clean and reset tables, paying attention to detail to ensure all tables are identical to the others
- Assist servers as needed with delivering food/drinks
- Assist host/hostess with seating as needed
- Restock supplies as needed to keep the restaurant running efficiently
- Work closely with other restaurant team members to maintain smooth service
- Provide friendly, professional, and proactive customer service
- Smile while engaging with guests
- Never say “I don’t know”; instead say “Let me go find someone who can help or know the answer”
- Assist in the checklists at the beginning/end of each shift with the team
- Including polishing, cleaning, and prepping
- Be willing to help fill in as needed to ensure guest needs are being met
- Wear proper uniform during work hours
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong customer/guest service skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to exhibit a cheerful demeanor towards guests and other team members
- Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with self-motivation
- Must be able to have a positive attitude with the willingness to go above and beyond what is expected
- Possess great time management skills, with the ability to think on the spot
- Able to work both inside and outside, in a variety of conditions
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
