X-Ray Technologist - Join Our Healthcare Team
We're seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist to perform radiographic procedures and operate related equipment.
As an X-Ray Technologist, you'll be responsible for identifying anatomical orientation on all required images, assuring proper file identification, and demonstrating competency in performing all radiographic procedures and operating equipment.
You'll also greet patients, obtain history, and enter information into our computer system, as well as perform x-rays at optimal quality and demonstrate patient care by protecting patients from excessive radiation.
Responsibilities:
- Identify anatomical orientation on all required images and assure proper file identification
- Demonstrate competency performing all radiographic procedures and the operation of all related equipment
- Greet patients, obtain history, and enters information in computer system
- Perform x-rays at the optimal quality
- Demonstrate patient care; make sure to protect patient as best as possible from excessive radiation
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine preferred
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) certified & NY State license in Radiologic Technology
- One to four years of experience in as general radiologic technologist preferred
