Job Description
X-Ray Technologists - Mt. Kisco, Fishkill, Rhinebeck, Hopewell Jct.
As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for:
- Identifying anatomical orientation on all required images and ensuring proper file identification
- Demonstrating competency in performing radiographic procedures and operating related equipment
- Greeting patients, obtaining history, and entering information in the computer system
- Performing x-rays at optimal quality
- Demonstrating patient care by protecting them from excessive radiation and observing vital signs during examination
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment safely and effectively
- Review images to ensure quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of information
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- An associate degree or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine (preferred)
- ARRT certified and NY State license in Radiologic Technology
- One to four years of experience in general radiologic technology (preferred)
