Overview: As a Speech Language Pathologist at The Outer Banks Hospital, Inc., you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and contribute to our mission of providing high-quality care in a compassionate environment.
Our hospital offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including:
- Four ORs (operating rooms)
- A medical/surgical unit
- A labor & delivery suite with a dedicated caesarian section OR
- A full rehabilitation therapy center
- Cancer treatment and radiation therapy center
- A 24-hour emergency department
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement therapeutic speech and language development programs and services.
- Examine, test, diagnose, and administer treatments for patients with speech and language disorders, hearing disorders, and/or motor disorders.
- Observe and evaluate diagnostic and treatment effects and communicate results with the appropriate medical and health care staff.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
- ASHA certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
- A North Carolina license in Speech-Language Pathology or eligibility for same.
- A certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology awarded by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
- Current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider status upon hire.
