- Responsible for overall management of the total operation, maintenance and security of the physical plant, buildings, grounds and security.
- Develop and manage grounds maintenance and snow removal contracts that ensure the Campus is well groomed and acceptable in appearance at all times.
- Review and negotiate current and new vendor and service contracts to ensure they meet the physical plant and financial needs of the organization
- Lead and support the construction needs of current and future Master Planning projects
- Possess a thorough working knowledge of the operation and maintenance of boilers, chillers, generators, power distribution systems, piping systems and fire detection and suppression systems.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of facilities planning, design and construction, facilities maintenance and management, utilities operation and financial management and securities operations.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of all life safety, building, OSHA, DPH, fire, public health and other relevant codes or regulations and ensure full compliance at all times.
- Participates in the execution of emergency management and contingency plans and conducts Campus safety and security training for Team Members and Residents. Participates in all safety and disaster preparedness.
- Conduct semi-annual testing of Emergency Plan in conjunction with MassMAP and local and state public safety agencies.
- Represent The Overlook on facility, local and regional safety committees including MassMAP.
- Serve as an effective liaison for life safety and code compliance inspection entities including fire service, building code enforcement, public health, JCHAO and DPH. Responsible for coordinating emergency response in case of natural disasters or other emergencies.
- Develop and manage capital and operating budgets, minimize use of contractors and ensure competitive costs for services per negotiated contracts.
- Evaluate opportunities for energy and utility conservation efforts and provide effective management of Campus energy consumption.
- Minimum 5 years of experience at the management level in facilities, plant, construction, marine or a similar engineering discipline. Experience with health, safety and security issues in facilities operations.
- Degree in a construction or engineering discipline, preferably related to plant, facilities or marine engineering. Advanced degree preferred
- Ability to read and write English proficiently
- Valid Driver’s License
- Previous experience in a health care setting preferred
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
