Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure all kitchen surfaces are kept clean and organized.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients.
- Support bussing staff by clearing tables of dirty dishes and ensuring they are returned to the kitchen promptly.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of banquet events or special functions as required.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean working environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking processes, is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
