Teaching Artist

The Palace PVA is seeking passionate and creative Teaching Artists to join our team! We offer private lessons, group classes, and 6-week workshop opportunities in music, dance, drama, and visual arts for students of all ages, with a special focus on homeschool programs.

This is an excellent opportunity for college students, freelance artists, and educators who want flexible teaching hours while inspiring the next generation of performers and artists. Willing to train for workshops and summer camp classes.

Responsibilities:

• Teach private lessons or group classes in your area of expertise.
• Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate lessons for students.
• Work with students of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced.
• Provide a fun and encouraging learning environment.
• Prepare students for performances, showcases, or competitions as needed.
• Communicate with parents and students about progress and upcoming opportunities.

Opportunities Available:

• Private Lessons: Choose your own hours and teach one-on-one.
• Group Classes: Lead small group sessions in your specialty.
• 6-Week Workshops: Teach short-term workshops in your discipline throughout the year.

Qualifications:

• Experience in teaching or performing in music, theater, dance, or visual arts.
• Ability to engage and motivate students of all ages.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Reliable, responsible, and passionate about arts education.
• Teaching experience is a plus, but not required!

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 8 per week
