Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. This role involves performing various maintenance tasks, ensuring that facilities are well-maintained, and addressing any issues that arise promptly and efficiently. The Maintenance Technician will work independently. Knowledge of how to clean a pool and maintain chemical levels is a must. You must have the ability to become certified in pool maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to common areas.
- Must be willing to communicate with guests professionally.
- Knowledge of pool operations and pool cleaning is a plus.
- Operate tools such as a drill, lawn, and leaf blower, and pool vacuum.
- Conduct common area and parking lot painting as needed to enhance property aesthetics and functionality.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from facility management, providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including completed work orders and inventory of supplies and pool chemical checks.
- Perform inspections of the common areas including the pool deck to ensure posted rules are followed.
- This is an evening shift, beginning at 6:00 PM CST. You must be able to complete tasks unsupervised.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems effectively.
- Familiarity with painting techniques is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with team members and clients.
- Ability to supervise projects when necessary, demonstrating leadership skills in a maintenance setting.
