SUMMARY
The Manager, Data & Marketing Technology is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the organization’s cloud-based data infrastructure and marketing technology ecosystem. This role ensures seamless data integration, high-quality data management, and effective utilization of marketing technologies that drive strategy, activation, personalization, and measurement. The position is pivotal in managing the systems that power paid digital media, email marketing, and data visualization products.
This role requires a foundational understanding of data engineering best practices, cloud data warehousing (Snowflake), and marketing technology platforms, with a focus on managing data pipelines, our customer data platform (CDP), and data visualization tools. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SQL, cloud platforms, and data pipeline management while demonstrating a problem-solving mindset and the ability to collaborate across teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and optimize the organization’s Cloud Data Warehouse (CDW) in Snowflake, ensuring efficient data ingestion, transformation, and accessibility.
- Manage data pipelines that connect various data sources to Snowflake to facilitate seamless data integration.
- Support the ingestion, segmentation, and activation of customer data within the Customer Data Platform (CDP) to enable personalized marketing efforts.
- Maintain and enhance data visualization tools, ensuring stakeholders have access to clear, actionable insights.
- Implement and monitor data quality checks, identifying and resolving data errors, inconsistencies and/or gaps to improve data integrity.
- Assist in the ongoing management of Consent Management Platforms (CMP) to ensure regulatory and legal data compliance across various jurisdictions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for pipelines, sources, processes, and system configurations to ensure transparency and continuity.
- Evaluate new data and marketing technology vendors to optimize data workflows, analytics, and marketing execution.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for data-related issues across platforms.
- Collaborate with marketing, business intelligence, sales, and partnership teams to ensure data-driven decision-making is effectively supported.
- Other projects and tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering or relevant degree OR completion of a coding/developer bootcamp OR equivalent hands-on experience.
- Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries for data retrieval, transformation, and analysis.
- 1-3 years of experience working with cloud-based data warehouses (CDW) such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or DataBricks including knowledge of data engineering best practices, managing pipelines, ELT processes, and APIs to facilitate data movement across platforms.
- 1-3 years of experience building data visualization products in Tableau, Looker, or Power BI, accompanied by strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and organize complex datasets into meaningful insights.
- Preferred hands-on experience with one or more of the following marketing technology platforms: Customer Data Platforms (CDP), Data Management Platforms (DMP), Marketing Automation Tools (HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud), or Demand Side Platforms (DSP).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Project management skills to track and execute tasks efficiently, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player when necessary.
- Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and eagerness to learn new tools and technologies.
- Able to work on-site in the West Palm Beach office at least three days per week.
