Job Overview:
As a Dining Room Supervisor, you will be at the heart of delivering a world-class dining experience for our residents. You will manage the flow of service in the dining room, ensuring each resident’s meal preferences are met with the highest level of hospitality. Your role will blend leadership with attention to detail and a deep respect for the seniors we serve. You will lead a team of dining professionals to provide excellent service in a warm, welcoming, and respectful environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver Exceptional Service: Take resident meal orders with a friendly, accommodating demeanor and serve meals with care and efficiency. Ensure that all food and beverage offerings meet or exceed resident expectations.
• Oversee Service Flow: Coordinate the smooth transition of meals from the kitchen to the dining room, ensuring that every plate is served at its optimal temperature and in a timely manner.
• Lead with Professionalism: Supervise, mentor, and inspire dining staff to maintain the highest standards of service. Communicate effectively and lead by example to ensure a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Foster a Welcoming Atmosphere: Greet residents and guests with warmth, and ensure the dining room is properly set up and maintained to create a pleasant and inviting atmosphere.
• Ensure Resident Satisfaction: Actively monitor resident satisfaction and handle any concerns or special requests with empathy and efficiency, always aiming for the best possible resolution.
• Maintain Dining Room Standards: Assist with the preparation, setup, and clean-up of dining areas. Ensure that all food safety and sanitation guidelines are adhered to for a safe and hygienic environment.
• Room Service Delivery: Manage and deliver room service to residents when requested, ensuring timely and accurate service with the same level of attention to detail and care.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff, other dining personnel, and management to ensure a seamless dining experience for all residents.

Qualifications:

• Valid Food Handler’s Permit required.
• Strong Leadership Skills: Experience in managing or supervising a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and team members, fostering an open and positive atmosphere.
• Passion for Hospitality: A genuine love for working with seniors and providing them with an extraordinary dining experience.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure all aspects of the dining experience meet the high standards of care expected in a senior living community.
• Weekend Availability: Must be available to work weekends as part of the regular schedule.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Professional Demeanor: Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in all situations, with a focus on delivering the best experience for residents.
• Clean Background Check: Successful candidates must undergo and pass a background check as part of the hiring process.
