Responsibilities & Qualifications
Job Summary
Responsible for greeting guests in pool/beach area ensuring that entire area is clean and properly set up prior to the opening of the pool/beach area and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the day.
Job Duties /Tasks / Results/ Responsibilities
- Checks station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
- Greets the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness.
- Follow all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
- Set up maintain and breakdown Pool and Beach.
- Provide Pool and Beach side service as schedule Inform guests about the hotel's facilities, policies and procedures
- Maintain and clean pool or beach areas. Set up and breakdown of pool or beach areas.
- Assist guests with chairs, towels and cushions.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required
- Be courteous
- Show genuine care for all co-workers and guest(s)
- The ability to work well in a team environment
- Proficient in the English language. Second language is an asset.
- Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment.
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
- Previous food and beverage experience in a luxury hotel setting is an asset.
- Team player and willing to help out other Food and Beverage outlets.
- Must possess outstanding guest services skills and professional presentation.
- Must be effective at handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
- Basic computer knowledge (Micros or other POS Systems).
- Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol according to state law.
- Must be physically fit in order to lift beach umbrellas and chairs
- Must have a very flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Food handling certificate is an asset.
- Excellent eye for detail and the ability to multi-task.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Must be effective at listening, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by guests.
- Must be able to be outdoors for a long period of time.
- Proficient in the English language (verbal & written), second language is an asset
Physical Demands /Requirement
Most of the time spent standing, walking or there are some requirement to lift moderate weight (10-20 pounds)
Work Environment/ Conditions
Typically located in a comfortable area. There may be regular exposure to mild discomfort from factors such as dust, odors, extreme temperature, inclement weather, noise, or lights.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required to walk, stand and sit. The associate will occasionally be required to climb and use balance. Additionally, the team member will frequently be asked to use hands and arms carry and lift items. Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include close vision and distance vision.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member may experience temperature fluctuations and moderate to high levels of noise. The team member will also come in contact with noxious and abrasive chemicals that must be handled properly to ensure the safety of the team member and others.
