Responsibilities & Qualifications
JOB SUMMARY:
This position offers a unique opportunity for driven Front Office or Reservations Department professionals looking to transition into a career in Revenue Management. This is an administrative role focused on supporting the execution of strategies as outlined by the Director of Revenue. Responsibilities include preparing Revenue Management reports and presentations.
In addition, the Revenue Coordinator provides analytical and administrative support to the Revenue, Marketing, and Reservations Team as well as the Executive Team. He/she will assist with managing Transient Revenue streams, defined as Direct Bookings through the hotels’ onsite Reservation team, online bookings through hotels’ websites, OTA’s, Wholesalers on Dynamic Rate Plans, Direct Connect, IDS and GDS Channels.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process pricing changes in Hotels’ Revenue Management System as directed by the Director of Revenue
- Maintain and enter stay restrictions as directed by the Director of Revenue
- Ensure stay restrictions for all rate codes are correctly reflected in Opera PMS, and that they flow through to all third-party systems (My Fidelio, Siteminder, Extranets)
- Report Generation:
Prepare and distribute Yield Reports for bi-weekly Yield Meetings
Prepare and distribute Pace Reports
Prepare and distribute weekly Rate Code Pickup report
Prepare and distribute weekly forecast for hotels’ Housekeeping Department
Prepare and distribute monthly STR benchmark reports
- Attend Yield meetings with the Executive team if needed
- Troubleshoot any OPERA PMS related system interface messages/issues within OXI and OHIP
- Address Rate Parity/Best Rate Guarantee issues
- Implement/map new distribution channels including room types and content as directed by the Director of Revenue
- Create and maintain dynamic packages and enhancements for hotels’ website
- Maintain and create Rate Plans through the hotels’ Channel Manager and several standalone Extranets
- Manage room inventory control to maximize sell-through opportunities
- Learn how to control Deposit and Cancellation policies for the above-listed channels
- Respond to and process Transient RFPs in the Lanyon RFP tool following the hotel’s revenue strategies
- Process Travel Agent Commissions via Onyx System.
- Research and answer Travel Agent commission requests
- Reconcile Booking.com commissions
- Assist with commission processing of marketing platforms (LaaSie, Curacity, Triptease)

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Combined previous work experience of at least 3 years in a hotels’ Front Office-, Group Sales- , Reservations- or Revenue Department
- Hospitality School Degree a plus
- Proficient in the English language (written and verbal)
- Fluent in English spoken and written
- Computer skills: MS Word, Excel
- OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure compliance with health and sanitation policies in all areas
- Adhere to all fire, safety, and security procedures according to hotel policy
- Adhere to all sustainability guidelines as per the Inspired by Nature Program.
WORK CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Work space is located in a comfortable quiet rooftop office. Must be able to use a set of steps. There may be occasional exposure to factors such as dust, odors, extreme temperature, inclement weather, noise, or lights
- This is an on-site Monday through Friday position, however, maximizing the hotels’ revenue might require some last-minute rate and distribution strategy changes. This means that it might be necessary to log in remotely to assess and action changes on weekends
