Job Description
This position performs installation, start-up/commissioning, repair, replacement, and preventative maintenance work on commercial HVAC equipment, components, and controls. This position is customer-facing and provides vital solutions to customers. This position also performs duties related to other HVAC Service areas such as purchasing, inventory, asset tracking, and other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: The following are the essential functions and responsibilities of the position but are not all inclusive. These may be updated or revised from time to time, and other duties may be required and or assigned.
o Answer all requests in a timely, professional, and courteous manner while listening and responding to the needs/requests of the caller.
o Identify and understand sequence of operations for systems, components, and controls. o Read and understand mechanical drawings and equipment submittals.
o Read and understand wiring diagrams and installation/operation manuals.
o Navigate to, locate, and find equipment.
o Perform installation, start-up, and commissioning tasks.
o Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
o Perform diagnostic and troubleshooting tasks.
o Trace electrical wiring, piping, and controls.
o Determine and repair operational problems.
o Replace systems, components, and controls.
o Obtain vendor pricing for equipment, parts, and materials, etc.
o Order and track equipment, parts, and materials as needed for execution of work.
o Maintain assigned vehicle, service tools/equipment, parts/materials inventory.
o Maintain work order, timecard, and calendar schedule information electronically on a daily basis.
o Maintain preventative maintenance tasking sheets electronically on a daily basis.
o Assist with the creation of estimates for HVAC equipment repair, replacement, and preventative maintenance work.
o Create, edit, and maintain administrative paperwork required as requested.
o Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
o Proficiency in applying customer service skills.
o Proficiency in all technical aspects of installing, start-up/commissioning, repairing, replacing, and performing preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment, components, and controls.
o Proficiency in tools and equipment; varied manufacturers.
o Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
o Demonstrate success in multi-tasking and prioritization.
o Demonstrate analytical, problem solving, decision making, and time management skills.
o Ability to work with smart phones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers.
o Ability to work in CMMS or ERP software systems.
o Ability to work in a fast-paced customer service environment.
o Possess a moderate to high stress tolerance.
o Possess motivation, leadership, and organizational skills.
o Must work well both in individual and team environments.
