Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sourcing Assistant to join our manufacturing companies' team. In addition to supporting the procurement and sourcing processes, this role includes administrative responsibilities, ensuring smooth operations across the departments. The Sourcing Assistant will manage supplier relationships, maintain accurate records in Workwise ERP, and Job Boss ERP systems, and assist with various office tasks for two manufacturing companies.
The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing and be comfortable working in a fast
paced, dynamic environments.
Essential Functions :
Assist in sourcing raw materials, components, and other manufacturing-related supplies for both sister companies.
Utilize Workwise E
- RP software and Job Boss ERP software to manage and track purchase orders, inventory levels, and supplier information.
Collaborate with the President / COO to identify cost-effective suppliers while maintaining quality standards and production schedules.
Maintain and update supplier databases, ensuring all information is accurate and up to
date.
Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure optimal
agreements.
Prepare reports on purchasing and inventory activities for management review.
Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, scheduling meetings, and managing email correspondence.
Organize and maintain purchasing records and documentation.
Support accounts payable by resolving invoice discrepancies.
Track and manage lead times, delivery schedules, and ensure on-time delivery of materials.
Qualifications
Identify processes that could be more efficient and implement changes to improve the process
Manage Workwise software
Become fluent in Job Boss Software
