Job Description
As a Sales Account Executive at KLH Industries, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients. This role requires a proactive, results-driven professional with a strong understanding of precision machining services. You will be responsible for managing the entire sales process, ensuring exceptional service and support for our diverse customer base across industries like aerospace, defense, food processing and more. Responsibilities:
Including the following, but not limited to:
- Identify and connect with potential customers using email, phone, social media, trade shows, and networking
- Present the unique value of our precision machining services, ensuring prospects understand how we can address their challenges
- Keep up with market trends, competitors, and industry developments to stay ahead
- Engage directly with prospects to understand their priorities, challenges, and decision-making processes
- Analyze technical drawings, collaborate with estimators, and determine the best-fit opportunities
- Verify that leads are aligned with our capabilities and target customer profiles
- Retain, organize, and exchange files according to company cybersecurity policies
- Track and follow up on quotes, ensuring timely delivery and addressing customer questions
- Collaborate with estimating to optimize pricing
- Present quotes effectively through various channels (email, phone, in-person).
- Build lasting relationships with existing customers through strategic account planning and regular communication, resolving any customer concerns promptly
- Discover opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional services
- Create accurate sales forecasts based on customer feedback and provide recommendations on future company offerings
- Travel (less than 20 percent) to visit leads, customers, or represent the company at trade shows, exhibits, and other events.
Qualifications
Experience & Education:
- 2 years of experience in B2B technical sales, precision machining service sales highly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of experience and education)
Skills:
- Comfortable with proactive outreach, including cold calling and lead generation
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to use and understand industry-specific terms and acronyms
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and documents
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages
- Ability to represent the company professionally during occasional travel and overnight trips
- Must maintain a state-approved driver’s license
