Benefits Specialist
Will be responsible for coordinating the administration of all benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability, and 401(k), pension & 457(b) retirement plans.
Responsibilities :
Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
Conduct new-hire orientations.
Performs quality checks of benefits-related data.
Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility.
Enrolls employees with carriers and processes life event changes.
Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes, and other general inquiries.
Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork : medical, personal, disability, and FMLA.
Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absence / disabilities.
Coordinates the open enrollment process.
Provide necessary reports for allocation / billing charges.
Perform other related duties as requested and special projects as assigned.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration / Management required.
2 years’ experience in benefits administration.
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certified credential preferred.
Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Ability to perform in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Technologically proficient. DoE Base salary to $80K
Salary : $80,000
