Our client, a manufacturing leader, is seeking a technician to join the team. In this important role you will help to contribute to the efficiencies for production.
Responsibilities :
Perform scheduled maintenance on test equipment
Ensure repairs are executed in real time to minimize production interruption
Continuously test equipment ensuring optimum operation
Provide consistent technical support for the production team
Train and evaluate the operations and team members
Responsible for maintaining and purchasing parts and supplies
Preparation of reporting summarizing information and trends
Continuously working on improvements helping to debug and optimize setup
Ensures efficient and accurate equipment maintenance documentation
Provides support to the testing groups assisting with tests and studies for equipment assessment Requirements :
Associate's degree in electro-mechanical / electronic engineering or equivalent experience
At least 5 years of experience in production support with line equipment systems in an electronic component manufacturing environment
Experience with production line equipment and systems including : AOI equipment, SMT pick and place system, automated glue dispense equipment, test handler, reflow ovens, test socket and circuit cards, laser maker, PCB saw system and molding machines
Must have success troubleshooting and performing repairs of equipment
Must have manufacturing process experience and understanding principles
Ability and experience in training and mentoring team members
Proficiency in developing work instructions
Must have outstanding mechanical system aptitude
Demonstrated electrical trouble shooting skills
Ability and proficiency in programming and debugging automated equipment
Excellence with managing multiple priorities and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
