The Project Lead is a proactive individual with a creative mindset, a strong work ethic and excellent problem-solving skills. This individual will work as part of our Project team to assist in execution of store projects from conception to completion. Success in this role requires an organized, outgoing, and motivated individual who can thrive in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment.
The Project Lead reports directly to the Project Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Be a TPS brand ambassador
• Demonstrate extraordinary service by leading by example on the sales floor and participate in customer experience.
• Lead a project from execution through completion and ensure all steps are completed accurately and on time.
• Partner with the Project Manager at all store projects: New Store Openings, Remodels, Relocations, Closures, and Small Projects.
• Resolve store specific merchandising challenges that require adaptations based on store architecture, inventory levels, and business trends, in line with the presentation book and seasonal strategies; works ‘hands on’ with store teams while partnering with the Project Manager & Director of Visual Merchandising
• Drive innovation and seek creative solutions to merchandising problems that arise, such as lack of space, inconsistencies in floor layout, product sell through, etc.
• Demonstrates a strong working relationship with Stores, District Managers & District Visual Merchandisers while having the confidence to challenge and influence key visual decisions in stores.
• Effectively lead department managers and specialists in all areas of visual presentation and work collaboratively with them to ensure a harmonious physical presentation; redirect behaviors as needed.
• Oversee temporary laborers on-site and ensure tasks are being completed in a timely manner; redirect behaviors as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• College degree or relevant work experience.
• Previous experience in specialty retail is preferred.
• Ability to adapt to and embrace change
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability and flexibility to travel, including overnight stays.
• Strong functional leadership skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 65 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 75 pounds with use of pallet jack.
• Travel is required up to and including overnight stays—70% or more travel for the year, dependent on geographical location.
• A team player attitude, including willingness to pivot as business needs change and willingness to assist others to meet deadlines
• Professional presentation in attire, demeanor, and appearance
