Position Summary:
The primary purpose of the Receptionist position is to preform clerical duties, answer inquiries and/or provide general public, customers, visitors, and other interested parties information regarding The Paramount at Somers Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.
Essential Functions:
- Greet persons entering establishment, determined nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations.
- Telephone conversations, email, writing letters and memos, and face to face discussions with individuals and/or team.
- Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen, or forward calls, providing information, taking messages, or scheduling appointments.
- Collect, sort, distribute, or prepare mail, messages, or courier deliveries.
- Maintain a functioning filing system for records within your job duties.
- Perform various clerical duties as directed.
- Release information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Monitor the entrance of residents going in and out the front door.
- Perform Administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc.;
- Provide information to resident/families as necessary, or refer to appropriate department or agency.
Qualifications:
- Education: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Computer experience required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to life, push, pull and move a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during working hours.
- Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents, if necessary.
Rate: $18/hr
