Activity Personnel is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing recreational and therapeutic activities for residents in an assisted living facility. This role requires creativity, organization, and the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff to promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
1. **Activity Planning:**
- Develop and maintain a calendar of daily, weekly, and monthly activities tailored to the interests and needs of residents.
- Create engaging programs that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
2. **Implementation:**
- Organize and facilitate group and individual activities, such as art classes, games, music sessions, exercise groups, and outings.
- Ensure activities are accessible and safe for all residents.
3. **Resident Engagement:**
- Build relationships with residents to understand their interests and preferences.
- Encourage participation and provide support to residents who may be shy or reluctant to join activities.
4. **Collaboration:**
- Work closely with other staff members, including nurses, social workers, and caregivers, to ensure a holistic approach to resident care.
- Coordinate with volunteers and community members to enhance activity offerings.
5. **Assessment and Evaluation:**
- Regularly assess resident engagement and satisfaction with activities.
- Adapt programs based on feedback and changing needs of residents.
6. **Documentation:**
- Maintain records of resident participation, feedback, and activity outcomes.
- Report any issues or changes in resident health or behavior to appropriate staff.
9. **Safety Compliance:**

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
